Course Objectives

Language skills

  • Understand spoken French at natural pace: announcements, conversations and short broadcasts.
  • Read and interpret authentic documents: notices, articles and correspondence.
  • Write structured, coherent texts suited to the task and the register it calls for.
  • Speak with control across the three oral stages: guided interview, exchange and sustained monologue.
  • Build a dependable base of grammar, vocabulary and conjugation underneath all four skills.

Exam technique

  • Work to the clock on every paper, so timing stops being the constraint.
  • Recognise each task type on sight and know the response shape it expects.
  • Structure written answers against the published marking criteria.
  • Handle the oral with prepared strategies for hesitation, repair and follow-up questions.
  • Sit full mock papers under exam conditions well before the real session.

What You Gain

  • Validation of one complete CEFR level, from A1 through B2.
  • A diploma with no expiry date, unlike most language tests.
  • Evidence of practical ability, since DELF tests real tasks rather than grammar drills.
  • A credential universities and employers already know how to read.

Assessment & Certification

  • Continuous evaluation across the four skills throughout the course.
  • Timed mock exams under exam conditions, returned with model answers and written feedback.
  • A Nova Linguistics certificate of completion is issued at the end of the course.
  • The DELF diploma itself is awarded by France Éducation international once you sit the official exam.

Target Audience

  • University applicants who need recognised proof of language ability.
  • Working professionals needing credentials for a role or internal mobility.
  • Immigration applicants whose file requires official certification.
  • Language learners who want a measurable, lifelong marker of progress.

Prerequisites

  • A1 is open to complete beginners. No prior French is required.
  • A2, B1 and B2 assume the previous level, or an equivalent result on placement.
  • A free assessment before enrolment decides which level you start at.
  • No age limit and no academic prerequisite at any level.

Course Format

  • Live online classes on a fixed weekly schedule, joinable from anywhere.
  • Small batches, with a one to one option where you want focused attention.
  • Timed mock exams at set checkpoints rather than only at the end.
  • Curated practice material, model answers and written correction throughout.
  • Guidance on level placement and on registering for the official exam session.
  • Continuous support from the placement test through to exam day.
